 e having our fourth reading session with the book \"Pal
 estinian Women's Activism: Nationalism, Secularism, Isl
 amism\" by historian and activist Islah Jad. While cruc
 ial in Palestinian struggles already before the British
  Mandate, Palestinian women's experience and influence 
 are often belittled in many traditional narratives. Whi
 le on the other hand, by deliberately ignoring their vo
 ices and negating their agency (especially in the Islam
 ist branch), the West and the Zionist regime keeps port
 raying a negative image of the Palestinian struggle and
  promoting white saviourism and imperialist agenda with
  the excuse of saving Palestinian women, without basic 
 understanding of the local women.

\nBy reading this 
 book together, we hope to understand better Palestinian
  women's experience and theoretical innovations, as wel
 l as the different approaches Palestinian women are tak
 ing in the collective struggle of their people.
